Bareskrim (Criminal Investigation Department) of the Indonesian National Police uncovered a narcotics laboratory producing “happy water” and liquid drugs in a luxurious residential area in Bandung Regency, West Java. The drug factory, allegedly linked to Malaysia, was discovered following the investigation of a happy water narcotics case in Nanggewer Village, Cibinong District, Bogor Regency.

Seized Items:
-
7,573 packets of happy water.
-
259 liters of liquid vape in various flavors.

The confiscated items, totaling approximately 670.8 billion Indonesian Rupiah, were destined for distribution, primarily in Jakarta, ahead of New Year’s Eve celebrations. The operation is estimated to have prevented harm to over 9 million lives.
Legal Action:
The suspects face charges under Indonesian law, specifically Article 114 paragraph 2, alternatively Article 113 paragraph 2, in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 of 2009 regarding narcotics. The penalties include the death sentence, life imprisonment, or a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 years in prison, along with fines ranging from 1 to 10 billion Rupiah.
The clandestine nature of the laboratory, camouflaged within a residential area, underscores the attempts by drug networks to evade detection. The case reflects ongoing efforts to combat international drug trafficking, with a focus on disrupting distribution channels and preventing substance abuse.
